Carlos Betran: The Anti-Rodriguez

Carlos Beltran hit two homeruns against the St. Louis Cardinals last night. He is batting .333 in this year's NLCS with and in just three games has 3 home runs. If you remember the 2004 Houston Astros, Beltran tied Barry Bonds's single season postseason record with 8 home runs. And had one in each of the first four games of the NLCS against the guess who: St. Louis Cardinals. Talk about a Cardinal killer, Beltran will continue to lead the Mets past the Cardinals this year. But back to the point, is Carlos Beltran the anti-Alex Rodriguez. Although Beltran had a supurb regular season, he accelerates his performance when it really matters. However as we've seen with A-Rod since he's been in NY he decelerates his perfomance when it really matters.

And now A-Rod's coming to Chicago... it looks like same ol' same ol' for Cub fans.

It'll be interesting if A-Rod comes to Chicago. I can see now the headlines and the argument about a great lineup on the North Side. "A-Rod, A-Ram, D-Lee: Best 3,4,5 in baseball." I can hear it being said and unfortunately unless they had some pitching it'll never work.. aka 2006 New York Yankees. By the way, look for my greatest lineups ever post coming soon.
